Things to do in the surrounding area are quad biking, fishing, horse racing and for walkers the choice is second to none with both difficult and easy terrains of varying degrees on offer, these include the picturesque Blackstairs Mountains, The Barrow Way and The South Leinster Way, all these walks are very well sign-posted and more information on these walks can be provided. For those more interested in visiting the archaeological or historical sites in the area visitors won't be disappointed with what is on offer, with Jerpoint Abbey, picturesque St Mullins, Duiske Abbey founded by Norman monks and Kilkenny Castle to name but a few.
